Method of Assessment: Coursework

About this unit

Most users expect the ICT tools they use to do what they want without understanding how they work. Only a minority understand what is needed, what hardware and software to buy, how to connect it all together, how to use it effectively and what to do when it goes wrong. In this unit you will acquire a sound knowledge of computer hardware and gain practical hands-on experience by building a computer from components. A large part of the marks for this unit will come from producing a detail system specification for your client.
